Hello, I am Sandra Dean (no, not from Grease!) and I have set up the wonderful website to clean up the image of Essex and the ‘Essex Girl’ and is a place for the people of Essex to share their stories – happy or sad or outlandish. 33 years old, and coming from Essex, near to Southend-on-Sea  I have travelled the world over the years, to find that ‘Essex Girl’s’ are practically  the most famous girls in the World.  Fancy that!  Although, they have not been publicised for being ‘nice’ or ‘intelligent’ - quite the opposite!  This site is set to show the World that there are plenty of Essex girls doing good and interesting things, and that Denise van Outen and Helen Mirren are not the only ones…..

We welcome any real life stories that are of interest…

With the help from the Essex newspapers and councils, I intend to rejuvenate the image of Essex and its population, with the help from you readers……  If you know any girls/ladies from Essex that have done something good, charitable, heroic, crazy, or really useful for the community, or you have yourself, then please do send in your stories, so we can post them on the site for you.
