I am adding a new section to the website called ‘Essex Women’ where I will invite stories and articles from women who have something to say! My aim is to show the World that there is more to Essex and Essex people than the ‘stereotype’ that has been publicised. Please write in about yourself or someone you know, with a photo.

I know a lady in Thundersley, Joyce Long, who got an MBE from the Queen for doing second hand shops for charity. She made loads of money for Southend Hospital Units. Great Job!
I was born in Essex and no-matter how many places I have travelled to, abroad and in UK, I know this is my home. Essex guys have a good sense of humour, a sexy accent, and are a laugh, we have great shops and lot’s to do at night. I love Essex clubs, pubs and entertainment. I went round the World trying to find something better, only to find this out that it’s my home, and since going on a dating site, have now found my true love – an Essex man who is gorgeous. My moral is, home is where the heart is – you don’t have to look far.
