inside the Cafe Rouge
Cafe Rouge is a very pleasant, atmospheric French style restaurant chain. This one is in Lakeside, but I have been to one in Cambrige as well. Both starters were good. Mussels were tasty and the prawn in a tomato, garlic and chilli sauce were a delight. Very nice beef bourgignon served with French beans and Dauphinoise potatoes. I had the salmon nicoise with pan fried salmon on salad and it was lovely and fresh. The wine list is limited but overall it was well cooked food at a reasonable pice.
